Where are you right now on your "Who Do You Think You Are" project? What did you do over the break for the project? Did you interview anyone? Use the checklist below to figure out what you have finished, what you are still working on and what you still have to do.

I have made all the interview questions but I haven't interviewed anyone yet. I am planning on doing this sometime this week. I finished and sent the persuasive letter/email to my mom. I also created Family Echo Family Tree and i have finished the Prezi Family Tree. Currently I am working on my infographic and I haven't started my five-frame storyboard yet.

How did you stop motion animation turn out? If you could give it a grade, what would you give it out of 60 points? What did you learn from creating this video?
I personally think mined turned out great. I deserve 60 out 60 points. It meets all the requirements on the rubric. I learned how to transport pictures from my phone to my computer and how to use movie maker.

 How far along are you on your stop motion animation? What did you do over the weekend to work on you stop motion animation? Do you have all your pictures today? Will you have all your pictures by the end of the hour? Give me a detailed updated.
I finished taking all my pictures. The only thing I need to do now is transfer my pictures over to the computer and set them up. I brought my cord to connect to the computer so I will have all my pictures on the computer by the end of the hour.  My project is of a peppermint moving all over my desk.

What are you planning on doing for your stop-motion animation video? What story are you going to tell? How will your video be fun and different? Who is taking your photos? When are you taking your photos?
I am planning on taking an orange and peeling it. It will be different and fun because the orange is going to be peeled in a strange and artistic way. I will be taking the photos and I will be taking the photos sometime in the next few days.

What photo editing tool(s) have you used so far on your 5 photos project? Do you like the tool? Is it easy to use? Hard to use? What's good about it? Whats bad about it? Give a detailed review of the tool.

I have not really used that many tools yet since I have only fully edited one photo. But on the one photo I used the blur tool which blurred out certain objects so other ones could stand out more. I also rotated the picture so that it is not on its side anymore. Its easy to use and I plan on using several tools in my four other pictures.

What is your favorite web tool that we have used in class so far this year? Why is it your favorite web tool? What do you like about it? How can you use it again in the future?

My favorite web tool is Prezi. I like this tool because the look of it is very futuristic and the transitions between slides are very cool.

What are the pros and cons to photo editing? What are some examples of when photo editing is fun and appropriate? When can photo editing be inappropriate or too much?
Photo editing has some beneficial edits. If you need to crop out a part of a picture to put on your presentation than it is very helpful. Or for social media websites, if you want to give your self a little better of look than photo editing is very useful. Sometimes when photo editing is inappropriate is if you crop things that should not be cropped. An example of this is if you crop your face or someones face on something and post it to a social media website. This is an example of bullying.

What is your favorite web tool that we have used in class so far this year? Why is it your favorite web tool? What do you like about it? How can you use it again in the future?

My favorite web tool is Prezi. I like this tool because the look of it is very futuristic and the transitions between slides are very cool. Also it is very easy to add information and pictures to it. I can use it again in the future to give presentations to my clientele.

My weekend was great. Friday  I hung out at my house for a little bit than I went to my friends house. She had a party Friday night. It was a really fun party. On Saturday the girl had another party again on Saturday. It was really fun party as well. I worked both Saturday and Sunday.

What makes a presentation memorable? What makes a presentation stand out and not boring? How are you going to make your presentation better than anyone else? How will you make it unique? Explain.
If the speaker is enthusiastic than almost any type of presentation will be memorable. This will also make the presentation stand out. You want the presentation be easy to understand and not have so many words on the presentation. If there are too many words than you are bound to loose the attention of the listeners. I am adding a lot of pictures in my presentation.

What did you learn from the Ted Talk yesterday? Did you find it interesting or accurate? Explain.
I learned that it is not always good to stay connected because if you are always connected you will not be able to learn valuable life skills. If you are always connected you wont know how to have a real conversation in life. It is kind of true how the reason we love social media is because we have the choice to edit who we are and what we say. Also its true how we sent text to feel an emotion not that we feel an emotion so we send a text.

What do you love about the "digital age" that we currently live in? What do you dislike about it? What are positives ways you use technology in your life? What are some things that come along with technology that you don't like? Explain.
It is kind of unique to keep older technology and compare it to newer technology. It is kind of crazy to think how in  matter of 5 years a piece of technology can be so out of date and seem so "slow". The positive ways i use technology in my life is with music and e entertainment. The things i do not like about it is that now  day people are constantly hooked to their phones and never have time to talk or give you full attention.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend (whether you went to the activities or not!). Tell me about what you did over the weekend.
I did not go to the Homecoming game because I was too tired but I did go to Homecoming. We took pictures for only about 15 minutes than we went to Cinzettes. Our group only consisted of about 16 people total. After dinner we skipped the dance and went to the after party. It was a really fun after party. The next day I had to wake up and go to work at 10 which really sucked. 

What do you know about infographics? What do you know about them? What are their purpose?
Based on the context of the word I think it means they are pictures that supply information to the user. Other than that I do not know anything else about them. This is my first time every hearing this word so I just took a guess here.

Tonight, I plan to go to the Blue Valley football game and go to a friend's house after. On Saturday I work a double shift at California Pizza Kitchen, and when I get off I am going to go to my friend's birthday party. On Sunday I am going to get a new shirt, khakis, and Sperrys for homecoming. I think that this weekend will be a good one.

 Most students view siting work as 'a pain in the butt'. How do you feel about it? Is it necessary? When is it appropriate to cite work? What's the importance of it?

I know it is necessary because it is how you sail away from plagiarism. I do not like doing it because I have to go through a lot of work.  I have to dig through each website to find the information required to cite a source. It is appropriate to cite your work every time you use information that is not yours. It is important because if you do not cite your sources than that is plagiarism.

 What is your favorite book, magazine, or publication? Why?

My favorite book is Dragon Rider. I like this book because it is fantasy fiction which is my favorite genre. This book is also very long which I like because I can slowly read through the entire story. The plot line is very well developed and is full of action.

 Do you enjoy writing? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why is writing an essential skill in life? How will you use this skill in the future?

No I do not like to write. There is no type of writing that I enjoy. Writing is an essential skill in life because it is one of the mains way how people communicate. If you can write well than you can communicate well. This is a useful skill in the future because you will be writing and sending many emails to future clientele and will need to know how to write properly.

What is creating an outline for a paper important? Do you think it helps you personally? How would you prefer to outline a paper - pen and paper or an online tool? Is there a different way you know if that would prefer to organize your thoughts?

Creating an outline gives you an idea of what your paper will consist of. It defiantly helps me because I know what order my thoughts will go in my paper. I'd prefer an online tool, because it allows me to do research and outline at the same time. There is no other way I'd like to organize my thoughts for a paper. It is simply the best.

 Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you?
I look up to my Dad. My Dad has forced my to try hard in school and do all my homework. He came to the country when he was 17 and could barely speak English. He transformed his life into a successful business man. He know owns his company and is a multimillionaire. My dreams is to be one day be like him.

What is good email etiquette and why is it essential in the "real" world? How can having good email etiquette put you ahead?
Good email etiquette is having proper grammar, using proper names depending on the person, and not just making the email short. You want to make the email somewhat detailed to show the person that you actual care and that you are putting time into it. It it is essential because in the "real" world you will be sending many emails to clients and employees and if you can not type a good email many people will not take you serious. This will put you ahead because if you know the correct etiquette than people will start taking you serious and think of you in a professional manner.

If there was one big global issue in the world that you could fix, what would it be? A cure for cancer? Save the rain forest? Stop pollution? Think about it and then write about it. Why would you choose that specific issue?
I would choose a cure for cancer. Cancer has been an on going struggle for many years and has brought a lot of sadness to many families. I think if there was a cure for cancer it would change the world dramatically. Many families would be blessed with the cure and could be able to have their love ones longer in their life than without the cure. It would also greatly boost the medicine area. Based on this cure if could create many other cures for diseases that seemed unrealistic.

On Friday we discussed Public Service Announcements. In your own words tell me what they are and what their purpose is. If you could create a PSA what would your topic be? Why?
Pretty much a Public Service Announcement is a message that is publicly announced to spread awareness of a certain topic. I would create a PSA over child obesity. I know America has a huge problem with child obesity and I honestly do not think much is being done to stop it or at least help slow it down. There are way too many fast food restaurants around American and unhealthy food is being sold at very low prices. The government should make healthy food be affordable so more people will start buying it.

What are your hobbies and extra curricular activities? Where do you spend your free time? Tell me three of your favorite things (movies, TV show, magazine, sport, color, etc.)
My favorite hobbies are working out and listening to music. I like to workout at lifetime. I like to to workout because it is very fun and I can see improvement everyday. I like to listen to music because it is very relaxing. I usually listen to music on average 3 hours a day. I get home from school and lay in my bed and play some tunes. 
I spend most of my free time at my house and lifetime. I love my house because it is always stocked with food and my bed is there too. I love to watch Netflix and eat Doritos at my house. I also spend some of my free time at lifetime because I love to workout.\
My three favorite colors are blue, black, and green. My three favorite TV show are Breaking Bad, Weeds, and Tom & Jerry. My three favorite sports are swimming, weight lifting, and football.

What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.
Some qualities of a good presenter is that they are confident, enthusiastic, creative, and funny. A presenter must be confident or the audience may think he/she is not certain about their information. If a presenter is enthusiastic than they will keep the audiences attention. If the presenter is not enthusiastic than the audience may miss some key information. Creative and funny also falls along with keeping the audience attention. If the presenter comes up with new ways to present that the audience have never seen than it will keep their attention. If the presenter is funny than the audience will be more incline to stay attentive and awake.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."
I do not agree with this statement. If someone took the time to find/take the image and upload it to the Internet they should receive credit when someone uses their picture. A lot of times students use pictures and never even think of citing a source. Most of the time they get away with it but in some cases the student could get in a lot of trouble for plagiarism. Also if  predator took your image off your profile and used on a social media website it could cause a lot of problems. You could be charged for crimes that you didn't commit or cause a lot of problems with other people that you do not even know.

 What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.

It is important to use online safety and protect your information because there are a lot of predators online. These predators are looking for credit card information, social security numbers, banking information, and any personal information. If a predator receives personal information like this he/she can potentially harm your personal life and even your loved ones. 
In order for me to protect myself online I am very careful on which websites I give my personal information and especially banking information. I make sure the website is well trusted before I give any information at all. An experience in my life i had with online safety is some random person sent me an email which offered me a free lab top. At first the deal seemed really convincing because almost no personal information was required to be given. Later i found out that the email secretly downloaded a key logger onto my computer. I had to completely reset my computer to get rid of the key logger.

After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."
After watching that clip I realized that we all have equal opportunity to become successful. Anyone out there can easily invent something that could potentially influence everyone around you. This does not just come to you easily, a lot of handwork is involved if you want to achieve something related to this.  Also it is not all about how you look on the outside, it is more important on how you are in the inside.
